Thank God it’s Friday!

How glad I am it is really the end of the week!
Jonah has been coughing since last night so we took him to the GP, just to make sure it’s nothing serious. There’re so many things going around at the moment, and I just didn’t want to worry about it at work. So I got to work about 40 minutes late (thanks to my hubby who drove me to work). Thank God it’s nothing serious. We also got Jimmy (the doctor) to weigh him. He’s 9.89kg with his clothes on. That is so great, considering that it took him almost half a year from 8 kg to 9 kg… and now in about 2 months he’s gained another kilo.
It’s also amazing how he’s suddenly talking! Ian noticed he was saying “apple” while playing with his Fisher Price toy which has got a red apple as one of the toys… He doesn’t say it well though, he says “a-po”, or “a-bo”….
And today, at my mum’s place, he was saying “choo-choo” while looking for his train under my mum’s bed. It is just simply amazing, how suddenly his vocabulary just improves like that.
I just love having a 1.5 year old. He has been the best thing that has happened so far. Definitely God’s greatest blessing in our life.
Hillsong conference next year will just be 3 days and 4 nights. I’m seriously considering to go. I have asked Ian, and he seems to be keen on going too. It’ll be good if we both go (along with Jonah, ofcourse). There will be Joel Osteen, and some other great speakers. I will have to make up my mind soon to get the conference special price of $149.
It’ll be a busy weekend. Tomorrow we’ve got Sam and Meling’s farewell, and Sunday will be Julius’ bday dinner. I’m gonna spend my weekend with Jonah…. for sure. I may have to work overtime on Tuesday until 7 p.m. to catch up with some work. This is the first time, ever, we have been asked to do some O/T. They said they’d pay us, and give us dinner. Hmmh… money is probably good, but I will definitely miss Jonah. They said it’s up to me… but if I said ‘no’ it will be selfish… as all the others are doing it.
Anyway, I won’t bother about it. Weekend is here, and I am going to enjoy it.
